Leaving her Paris job to run a farm is Sandrine’s bet in A Swallow Has Made the Spring, airing on 6ter on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 9:10 p.m. Mathilde Seigner and Michel Serrault share top billing in this Christian Carion film, released in France on September 5, 2001.
An IT specialist, Sandrine pursues agricultural training before moving to the Vercors. She buys back Adrien’s farm, a widowed farmer who still lives nearby. Yet selling the place isn’t enough to settle their dynamic: the woman who wants to build a new life there must contend with the man who spent his life there.
The film pits two different takes on agricultural work against each other: a newcomer who has chosen this line of work, and a man deeply attached to his farm. Jean-Paul Roussillon and Frédéric Pierrot round out the cast of this Franco-Belgian dramatic comedy.
