Watergate, from the newsroom perspective: All the President’s Men airs on France 5 this Friday, October 23, 2026 at 9:05 p.m. Alan J. Pakula brings Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman together in this 1976 film about the investigative reporting of journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

It all begins with the arrest of burglars at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington. At the Washington Post, the two reporters trace the links between the break-in and Nixon's inner circle. The screenplay by William Goldman adapts their own book, All the President’s Men, placing investigative reporting and cross-checking at the story’s core.
