2023 will be the year of Resident Evil! At the PlayStation State of Play conference on Thursday, February 23, 2023, Capcom unveiled a trailer for Resident Evil 4 Remake. As the name suggests, this is a remake of the game released in 2005. And as 2023 is indeed the year of the saga's comeback, a DLC was also announced at another State of Play, on September 14. Separate Ways is scheduled for September 21, 2023.

The game is set to be slightly different from the 2005 release:"This time, we're developing the game with a view to offering a level of exceptional quality that's on a par with what you'd expect from a survival horror game in 2023, while preserving the essence of the original," explains Edvin Edsö, Promotion Producer at Capcom, on the PlayStation Blog. He continues:"We want fans of the series to rediscover what made the game such a success, while infusing it with new and refreshing elements. He concludes:"We're going to rewrite the story while preserving the main plot, modernize the graphics and update the controls to meet today's standards".
In addition to the game, additional content for PSVR2 is also in development. VR Mode to be released on December 8, 2023. Good news that should add a little extra to the experience.
