A worthy successor to Dead Space? That's the path Fort Solis seems to be taking, a space thriller developed by Fallen Leaf and eagerly awaited by fans of the genre, scheduled for release on PC and PS5 in summer 2023. A gameplay trailer showing off a captivating, anguished atmosphere.
On the casting side, renowned actors Troy Baker (Joel in The Last of Us) and Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2) lend their voices to the main characters, adding to the interest generated by this game. First announced at Summer Game Fest 2022, Fort Solis transports players to Mars, to a space station where engineer Jack Leary, played by Roger Clark, realizes that all human traces have mysteriously disappeared.
Set mainly inside the Fort Solis space station, but also on the surface of Mars, the game promises to be highly narrative, with actions having far-reaching consequences that can influence the outcome of the story. Fort Solis is often compared to Dead Space, a horrific sci-fi game whose remake was released earlier this year, although the two titles have notable differences in terms of scenario and environment. Fans of space horror games will thus be able to immerse themselves in a thrilling new universe, after the minor disappointment of The Callisto Protocol, which failed to convince gamers despite expectations (and convinced us all the same).
Fort Solis ' prestigious voice cast is a major asset to the game. In addition to Roger Clark, Troy Baker, one of the most renowned voice actors in the video game industry, plays Wyatt Taylor, another main character. A game that promises to be a promising title in the world of space horror video games. Thanks to its eerie atmosphere, captivating storyline and top-quality voice cast, it could well be a worthy successor to Dead Space.
