If you haven't already, we'll sum up the concept for you in a few words: this game show brings together a number of comedians and personalities known for their sense of humor. The contestants, who play for themselves, are locked in a loft and have to make others laugh without making themselves laugh. If you laugh, you get out. The winner is the person who manages to maintain self-control while eliminating the competition!
A new experience inspired by this "try not to laugh" challenge now awaits us in Paris: Hilarious Labs, an original concept in the capital's 11th arrondissement . From now on, you'll be able to play the game and challenge your buddies to this merciless humor tournament.
Designed for groups of 4 to 16 players, sessions last one hour for the actual game (allow 1h30 between briefing and debriefing). Hilarious Labs has adapted the concept so that everyone can enjoy the experience for the duration of the game. So, unlike the show, there are no eliminations, but rather a points system: you win points if you make others laugh, and you lose points if you laugh yourself. The winner of the game is decided in a secret final.
The game would be punctuated by challenges and twists designed to energize the session. For the time being, we can't give you any precise feedback on the game experience, as we haven't yet tested the concept. Nevertheless, we see as anoriginal and promisingactivity that could be fun for a EVG, an EVJF or even a team-building event, depending on the group's chemistry. In addition to the immersive game, the address also aims to be a living space dedicated to humor, with its own Comedy-club. To be continued!
