Madness at Unleash: immerse yourself in a Lovecraftian horror escape game in Paris

Just a stone’s throw from the Accor Arena, Unleash Escape Game reveals Madness, a new Lovecraft-inspired horror room opening on June 1, 2026. A nightmarish escape experience that drags players into a dark, immersive world where madness, mystery and chills collide.

And what if your dreams weren’t really yours anymore? In Bercy, Unleash Escape Game presents Madness: The Marsh Inheritance, a horror adventure that plunges players into the heart of a shared nightmare. Loosely inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft, this horror escape game in Paris invites teams to explore a common vision, between unsettling dreams, latent madness, and unspeakable mysteries. A new immersive experience designed for thrill-seekers and lovers of dark puzzles.

Synopsis of Madness at Unleash Escape Game:

In Madness: The Heritage of the Marsh, players are haunted by a single, eerie dream that lures them back again and again to a ship’s hold, a menacing dwelling, and a woman dressed in black. This shared vision unsettles when Lawrence Williamson disappears, leaving only a mysterious cylinder to listen to on a phonograph. The investigation then pursues his trail across a port city gnawed by the unspeakable, as players seek to understand this nightmare and uncover a buried truth.

Note that this isn’t a traditional escape room, strictly speaking... Instead, it’s an immersive, narrative-driven investigation that unfolds like an escape game, with puzzles and exploration, but also intertwines interactions with actors. Here, you’ll mainly need to listen, observe, and analyze to understand what’s going on and reach the end of the adventure.

The experience, clocking in at about 105 minutes, delivers an intense and sometimes unsettling atmosphere and isn’t necessarily suitable for everyone. You’ll be scared, certainly... and there may be a few jump scares, but storytelling remains the main goal. For seasoned adventurers, then. It also supports 2 to 4 players, is at expert level, and is only playable in French.

Trailer for Madness at Unleash Escape Game:

In detail, the experience is strongly not recommended for anyone sensitive to strobe lighting effects, to smoke effects and oppressive atmospheres, to fear of the dark, to recent surgery, or to any medical condition that could be worsened by the experience. It’s also highly discouraged for people with severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks, significant phobias, or post-traumatic stress. The experience is off-limits to anyone under 16 or to pregnant women. And of course, you’re not allowed to touch the performers.

A slew of restrictions that should set off alarm bells about the horror woven into this adventure. Should we book at Unleash Escape Game?
