Teamfight Tactics: Enchanted Wilds, the new set for the auto battler developed and published by Riot Games, is slated to arrive on PC via the PBE test server on July 28, 2026. Drawing inspiration from fairy tales, enchanted forests, and mythical creatures, this update shakes up play with new champions, fresh synergies, and a core mechanic called Wisps. Riot Games also teases a host of features aimed at enriching team compositions and strategic choices as a match unfolds.
The teaser trailer unveils a world of ancient forests, mystical creatures, and magical spirits. The footage spotlights several of the new champions alongside the core mechanics of the set, including the Wisps, the new traits, and the legendary champions. The clip also features a number of skirmishes illustrating the various team compositions you’ll be able to run, plus the new cosmetic content that will accompany this season.
"Set in a mystical forest teeming with ancient magic, colossal beasts and fantastical spirits, Enchanted Wilds invites players to forge their own path through an ecosystem rich with new traits, champions, mechanics and strategies".
The headline feature of this update revolves around the Wisps, tiny magical sprites that briefly appear in the shop. Players can snag one each round to gain various advantages—combat upgrades, economic perks, experience points, or higher-risk effects that pay out bigger rewards. The Wisps scale in power as the match goes on, with visual enhancements and new progression systems unlocking along the way.
The set also introduces several new traits. Riftbeasts lets you upgrade a variety of creatures inspired by the iconic monsters of League of Legends using the Alpha Mark system, which grants different bonuses depending on the unit. At higher levels, players can even recruit the Elder Dragon. The Elderwood trait, meanwhile, adds plants that can be placed on the board to strengthen allies, shield units, or create new defensive supports.
Riot Games is also introducing the Sunbeam and Moonbeam traits, which can be combined to reveal the hidden Eclipse trait. When activated, Eclipse automatically executes the enemy with the lowest health at regular intervals during combat. Finally, the Blossom trait enhances all available Wisps and unlocks new interactions around this mechanic.
Legendary champions also bring their own systems. Draven has personal objectives that grant different rewards as they’re completed. Ivern gradually reshapes the board with his exclusive trait Greenfather, spawning various biomes that offer specific bonuses depending on the spaces you occupy. Lux, back after Set 2, runs a unique mechanism: she counts double toward her origin and prevents other players from getting that same version while she remains in play.
This new set also brings back the Carousel, a phase that lets players pick champions and items during select moments of the match. Riot Games says it has tweaked the thresholds for several traits to make team compositions easier to assemble, while still allowing for more specialized builds for players aiming to base their strategies around a single trait.
Several cosmetic items will also accompany the launch of Enchanted Wilds. Riot Games has confirmed the arrival of Chibi Soul Fighter Jinx, Chibi Office Aatrox, the arena Jinx's Tournament of Chaos, as well as the Unbound Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios and Unbound Coven LeBlanc skins.
With Enchanted Wilds, Riot Games is reshaping Teamfight Tactics on multiple fronts with new traits, a slate of legendary champions, and a mechanic that directly alters how rounds play out. Over the coming weeks, we'll watch which compositions dominate the testing server as the new season rolls out to all players.
