Escape Hunt: the escape-room chain shutters its doors for the duration of the heatwave

Just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier, Escape Hunt Paris offers three immersive escape room scenarios that blend puzzles, thinking, and adventure. Due to the heatwave, the brand will close its doors from July 10 to July 17, 2026 for safety reasons, ahead of a planned reopening on July 18.

Based at 5 rue de Hanovre in the 2nd arrondissement, Escape Hunt Paris offers several immersive adventures crafted for puzzle lovers, strategic thinkers and teams. Debuting in Europe in 2014 with its first venue in Brussels, the chain landed in France in 2015 with Paris and Bordeaux, before expanding to other cities like Marseille or Clermont-Ferrand. Its Paris location now welcomes players into a range of scenarios where observation, logic and collaboration are at the heart of the experience.

The chain says gameplay will resume normally from July 18, 2026. Players with bookings during this period are asked to contact Escape Hunt Paris directly to learn about rescheduling or potential refunds.

The Parisian site currently offers three scenarios, spread over four rooms, each offering a unique immersion experience:

Aladdin and the Magic Chest - 2 to 5 players, suitable for ages 10 and up

"Can you retrieve the lamp from the sorcerer's impenetrable magic chest? The sorcerer Abanazar has returned to take his revenge on Aladdin and the genie... Trapping Aladdin by confiscating the lamp, he locks him in his palace, then sows misery and destruction in Arabia. Recover the lamp and save the genie before it's too late. A difficult mission, as the lamp is protected by powerful spells that you'll have to break with all your wits!

The Greenhouse - 2 to 5 players, suitable for ages 10 and over

"Mysterious plants are invading Paris. Reverse the course of events to save the capital from a plant apocalypse. Nature seems against you as vegetation gradually invades Paris. Your research leads you to the home of Professor Prosper Trifolium, an eccentric botanist where everything seems to have started. You have 60 minutes to turn things around, or you'll be trapped forever...".

Métropolitain pursuit - 2 to 5 players, age 12 and over

"Plunged into the heart of the Paris metro, you have 60 minutes to get your hands on the loot of a mysterious pickpocket, and find your way out! For weeks now, users of the Paris metro have been subjected to repeated thefts... Twenty to thirty thefts a day, and a mysterious pickpocket eludes all surveillance! The station clerk has stopped traffic to allow you to move around and observe the clues left here and there. But traffic can't be stopped for more than an hour, as users are already on edge!

The experience is accessible from age 10 (except for the room in the metro), with puzzles adapted to different levels of difficulty. Sessions can accommodate from two to six participants, and are conducted in French or English. Advance booking is recommended to guarantee room availability.
