Founded by two 17-year-old enthusiasts, Mystery Time offers four immersive, handmade escape rooms in Essonne, combining adventure, horror, and storytelling. A lively, artisanal experience, designed by young creators for all audiences.

Two enthusiasts, a barn, and a slightly crazy dream: to create their own escape universe! Born out of a shared passion for escape games, Mystery Time is anescape game brand based in Essonne, founded by Swan and Mathys, two 17-year-old teenagers.

Created in 2020 in a former family barn, this adventure is based on an artisanal approach to immersive entertainment. The two founders design the rooms, puzzles, and sets themselves, using recycled materials. Their goal is to share their love of games and cooperation through varied experiences that are accessible to all audiences.

In total, the brand has four rooms with very different themes:

  • Anubis and the Guardians of the Tombs

An exploration of an Egyptian temple, combining light effects, immersive scenery, and complex mechanisms.

  • The Lab

An ideal family adventure for beginners, offering accessible and fun puzzles.

  • L’Antre du Chasseur

A horror escape game, with sensory effects and actors to heighten the tension.

  • The Heir

A hybrid experience between an escape game and a story room, focused on storytelling and emotion, with strong interactions between players and actors.

A concept designed for fans of immersive puzzles.

Mystery Time is mainly aimed at groups of friends, families, andescape game enthusiasts looking for an authentic and participatory experience. Players who enjoy scripted adventures and homemade puzzles should find an intimate setting here, far from the big franchises. Thrill seekers can also try L'Antre du Chasseur, which is more intense in its staging.

However, this brand may not be suitable for those looking for big-budget productions or spectacular special effects. Although well-maintained, the rooms retain a handcrafted feel, reflecting the passionate work of their creators. Similarly, younger players or those who are sensitive to frightening atmospheres should opt for more family-friendly experiences such as Le Labo.

An independent and collaborative adventure

The company relies on a close-knit team, reinforced by several friends who have come to lend a hand in the management and design of the rooms. The collective aspect of the project is reflected in everyone's participation: scenarios, sets, welcoming and accompanying players. Swan's father also contributes to the design of the electronic mechanisms, as explained on the company's website.

Mystery Time is currently continuing its development, with new projects in the pipeline, particularly around L'Antre du Chasseur, to make the experience even more immersive. The founders' goal remains unchanged: to offer handmade, accessible, and lively adventures where creativity takes precedence over technology.

Mystery Time offers sessions for 2 to 6 players, depending on the room chosen. The games are accessible to children aged 10 and over, accompanied by an adult for younger children. Certain experiences, such as L'Antre du Chasseur, are reserved for participants aged 16 and over. The rooms are not yet accessible to people with reduced mobility, and the experiences are only available in French. Reservations are required and must be made online. Players are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session.
