YAY, the made-in-France jewelry brand from the French Riviera, has opened its first Parisian boutique in the heart of the Marais insummer 2020. Visit us Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 7.30pm, at the crossroads of rue Pastourelle and rue des Archives, to discover their beautiful collections.
The brand created by Nice-born Julie Terranova in 2014 continues to grow, and this Paris location says a lot about the label's future. Here the boutique occupies the first floor, while the workshop extends to the second floor. YAY is jewelry made in France, designed as pretty grigris to be accumulated as the mood takes you.
With a Lebanese mother and a Sicilian father, the designer combines her Mediterranean origins in her collections. Color and finesse are the watchwords of her lines.
In addition to traditional rings, bracelets and earrings, our favorite YAY items are original designs, from cuffs to fake piercings, anklets and body jewelry. All these summer accessories with their high beaufaire potential become ravishing when the finesse of chains is combined with the delicacy of semi-precious stones or mother-of-pearl.
We particularly like the Riviera collection cuff in lapis lazuli, pyrite and rhodochrosite. Sold individually (right or left), this earring is available in gold or silver plating for a sunny, bohemian look in tones reminiscent of the colorful facades of Nice.
There's also the faux piercing in gold pearls and moonstone, sold individually for €30. As for anklets, there's plenty to choose from. We're tempted by the stars model from the White Swan collection, with its fine gold chain and encircled mother-of-pearl stars.
And why YAY? Beyond the American "Youpi", "Yay" is also the Lebanese Waouh of "Yay Chou Hélou", "Waouh que c'est beau", the exclamation of the designer's Lebanese friends on discovering her first jewels.
