Here, glitter is king: in the 20th arrondissement, rue des Partants, the Si si la paillette boutique is dedicated entirely to glitter make-up. Opened by Lorène and Chloé - two sisters - in 2021, Si Si la paillette offers biodegradable and, above all, environmentally friendly glitter. " Chloé and I love glitter, we love wearing it, but we quickly realized that it wasn't environmentally friendly at all," explains Lorène. Made from plastic, traditional glitter - which is non-degradable - ends up in the water and then in the soil, without ever decomposing.
So, since 2019, the founders of Si Si la paillette have been working to democratize Si Si glitter, which is biodegradable because it's made from plants! Sold in jars, glitter gel, highlighter, glitter spray or gloss, they're a must-have for festivals, races and children's parties. Si si's bestsellers include Yolo, a holographic glitter with rainbow reflections, Polysirène with its iridescent turquoise-blue shimmer, and Vegas Bébé, which combines several grains and colors of glitter.
The store's big plus? Curious customers can try out the range of glitter from over 100 references, starting at €5.90, to find the perfect color, grain or mix. The boutique also offers banana bags by Cousine and glittery clothes by designer Superbe, and is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 2.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
