It strikes a balance between a department store and a concept shop, blending fashion, beauty, luxury, homeware, and a gourmet food court into one vibrant destination.

Along the Champs-Élysées, the Galeries Lafayette stores have taken a different approach from the classic Parisian department store. Located at number 60 on the avenue, this flagship offers a modern, experience-driven take on shopping — blending fashion, beauty, luxury, homeware, and gourmet delights. The building itself is almost as much a comment on design as the collections it houses. Spanning around 6,500 square meters across four floors, the space creates a more seamless journey than traditional department stores, inviting visitors to explore at their own pace.

Before establishing itself as a trendy, contemporary shopping destination, the building had a rich history, including serving as the former Virgin Megastore. Reopened in 2019 following a major overhaul, it maintains a striking architectural identity that blends Art Deco heritage with a sleek, modern reinterpretation by Bjarke Ingels Group. Here, the decor is undeniably a highlight of the experience.

Instead of operating as a traditional department store, this location focuses on a curated journey through major themes: women, men, children, beauty, home, and luxury. The space emphasizes carefully selected products, presentation, and exclusive offerings over just neatly stacked shelves. This approach lends it a more fashion-forward, lifestyle-oriented vibe—almost more of a concept store than a conventional department store.

Another highlight of the venue is its food court, perfect for grabbing a quick, indulgent bite between shopping sprees. The space features popular spots like Yard, Joe & The Juice, Pierre Marcolini, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, and Dada Trattoria. Topping off the building is the rooftop restaurant Mūn, offering a stunning view of the city.
