Calling all art, decor and vintage fashion lovers! The Foire de Chatou, the eagerly awaited gathering for antiquarians and brocanteurs, is back for a new edition from September 25 to October 4, 2026. In total, more than 300 exhibitors welcome visitors to a mosaic of booths rich in history. Organized by the Syndicat National du Commerce de l'Antiquité, de l'Occasion et des Galeries d’Art (SNCAO-GA), this iconic institution — the largest and oldest fair of its kind in France — takes place twice a year, in March and September, on the Île des Impressionnistes in Chatou, Yvelines.
Spanning 21,000 square meters, the Chatou Fair draws nearly 30,000 visitors at each edition. The event has become a true ritual for enthusiasts, a stroll full of surprises for fashion lovers, and a nice sortie en famille for the merely curious.
Over there, the opportunities are endless! Rare finds sit alongside other stunning treasures, from furniture to vintage fashion, not to mention ultra-chic decor and precious jewelry pieces.
The Fair is all about mixing styles and influences! For over 50 years, tents filled with paintings have mingled with those filled with toys, books, furniture, tableware, silverware, clocks, fabrics and sculptures, in a scenography worthy of a veritable open-air museum. For 10 days, each antique dealer exhibits his or her wares in a marvellous setting, to pique the curiosity of buyers or simply for the pleasure of the eye.
A genuine village atmosphere and treasure after treasure stretching as far as the eye can see, enough to dazzle the eyes and turn heads. To fully enjoy the experience, plan for a full day—or even a whole weekend!
As you stroll along, the aisles reveal furniture from the 50s, sacred paintings from the 17th century, mirrors from every era, wicker armchairs and garden furniture, embroidered linen, a pair of candlesticks, a chest of drawers from the 30s,silverware, postcards, toys, books and jewelry. In this picturesque profusion, you'll find what you're looking for and what you're not!
Small "trinkets" stand next to Saxon porcelain or a pretty oil landscape. There's something for every taste and every collector!
Certified by the " Antiquité-Qualité " label, the Foire de Chatou offers all the guarantees required by buyers, with a free appraisal service.
The Foire de Chatou also showcases a sample of France's rich gastronomic heritage. Everyone can come and taste ham, foie gras, sausages, oysters, honey and other regional specialities, and leave with a beautiful basket of local produce.
As you can see, the Foire de Chatou is the temple of tasteful bargain-hunters, but it's also an original experience that seduces and astonishes, where it's not uncommon to fall in love, and where talking to the merchants is an art!
