Why settle for chocolate eggs when you can also go bargain-hunting? This Easter Monday, April 6, 2026, flea markets and garage sales are lighting up Paris and the Île-de-France region, offering a perfect springtime outing to make the most of the public holiday.

On lundi de Pâques, there are those who head off in search of eggs hidden in the gardens… and those who prefer to comb the aisles of brocantes et vide-greniers à Paris et en Île-de-France to snag other goodies. Because after all, why limit the hunt to rabbits and chocolates, when you can also chase down a vintage lamp, some stylish tableware, an antique mirror, a few vinyl records, or the quirky trinket that will lend real character to any interior?

This Monday April 6, 2026, the idea is still somewhat the same as for an egg hunt: we move with a keen eye, scout, spot, hesitate, backtrack… and then, bingo. Except here, the surprises aren’t chocolate, but wicker, porcelain, patinated wood, or enameled metal. Each person’s Easter haul: some will walk away with a full basket, others with just a wicker basket. The chance to hunt for the good deals, the vintage items, the retro finds, childhood memories, and even a few totally unexpected favorites.
