For Easter 2026 celebrations, the discreet palace La Réserve Paris, tucked along Avenue Gabriel in the 8th arrondissement, unveils two exclusive creations conceived by its pastry chef Jordan Talbot: a limited-edition Signature Easter Egg inspired by the Paris-Brest, and a special goûter titled "L'Instant Gourmand - Edition N°2." A sugary interlude to share with loved ones, in one of the capital’s most intimate settings.

What is La Réserve Paris's Easter egg for 2026?

Inspired by memories of childhood in Brittany, Jordan Talbot has envisioned an egg with a braided design that evokes the iconic silhouette of the Paris-Brest. It is not a trivial reference: this French pâtisserie classic, born in Maisons-Laffitte at the end of the 19th century, is here revisited with striking contemporary precision. The shell of the Signature egg is made of dark Peruvian chocolate, chosen for its aromatic depth, and conceals tender vanilla Madagascar marshmallows coated in chocolate. The cap and base, conceived as precious tablets reminiscent of the craquelin on choux pastry, cradle a Valencia almond praline punctuated by cocoa nibs. Caramelized nibs provide the subtle crunch that makes all the difference, while a heart of molten caramel with fleur de sel and roasted vanilla extends the tasting into a well-deserved sweetness.

This limited edition is available for takeaway by preorder only, from Monday, March 2 to Saturday, March 28, 2026, at a price of €99.

What is L'Instant Gourmand – Edition No. 2 at La Réserve Paris?

For those who want to elevate the experience even further, Jordan Talbot has envisioned a fleeting three-act tasting menu, served in the intimate setting of the Duc de Morny Library, one of the palace’s most charming hideaways. The first bite is a personal take on the Paris-Brest, where roasted vanilla meets the depth of cocoa nibs. Next comes the brightness of a Lemon Basil Tart, marrying a velvety basil-infused cream with a citrusy, cloud-like tartness. The journey concludes with Truffles that blend almond praline, crispy puffed rice, caramel, and a sheet of black rice tuile. A three-act composition, crafted as a complete gustatory journey.

Why visit La Réserve Paris this Easter?

Just steps from the Champs-Élysées and the Grand Palais, La Réserve Paris embodies the Parisian chic of the 19th century, reimagined by designer Jacques Garcia, in a timeless atmosphere perfectly suited to this kind of gastronomic celebration. The restaurant Le Gabriel, led by chef Jérôme Banctel and three-Michelin-starred, adds even more prestige to the venue. People come here for the meticulous care given to every detail, and this Easter edition is no exception.

Our take: Jordan Talbot’s Paris-Brest egg targets haute patisserie enthusiasts who want a sublime creation, not merely decorative. The idea of reimagining a childhood dessert as a sculptural piece is enticing, and the texture contrasts—marshmallow, praline, oozing caramel, cocoa nibs—deliver a true tasting experience. The L'Instant Gourmand afternoon treat will be perfect for anyone looking to treat themselves to a hint of spring sweetness in an exceptional setting, whether as a couple or with friends.
