Easter 2026: Giant Bear, Praline Egg, and a Mountain of Marshmallows at Les Oursons de Manon

Gone are the conceptual sculptures—at the Oursons de Manon, Easter is all about being generous and utterly delectable. Focusing on marshmallow teddy bears, naturally, these chocolates created for early April invite a moment of guilty pleasure, blending the crunch of chocolate with the melt-in-your-mouth softness of marshmallow, presented in three handcrafted pieces.

Behind this shopfront, which prominently features marshmallow, is Manon Valtier, a passionate confectioner dedicated to this traditional treat. She blends modern flair with nostalgia, offering her signature marshmallows in a variety of flavors. In her open laboratory adjacent to the store, she works with high-quality chocolate to coat her cloud-like creations.

Keep in mind that since each piece is handcrafted on a small scale, the closer Easter weekend gets, the fewer creations are likely to be available. So don't wait too long!

This year’s centerpiece is undeniably the Creation Bear (€40, 380g), charmingly accompanied by a tiny little daisy. Standing 17 cm tall and handcrafted with care, this hefty chocolate figure (available in dark or milk) isn’t exactly light on its feet: it’s filled with an assortment of miniature marshmallow bears, praline eggs, and chocolate fritters, for a total weight of 380 grams. A giant version of your favorite teddy bears, but this one hides quite a few surprises inside instead of marshmallow—treasures awaiting discovery.

To complete the basket, Manon suggests adding a Easter Egg (€30), which hides a particularly generous layer of crunchy hazelnut praline inside. Also included is the classic Chocolate Bunny (€25), both complemented by their decadent chocolate-fried treats.
