Every year, Edwin Yansané dreams up a delightful array of creative Easter chocolates for Edwart Chocolatier. In 2026, the chocolatier invites you to a poetic picnic where the meadow transforms into a culinary tableau, featuring whimsical farm animals. Meet Jean de la Souris, Vincent Van Bœuf, or Francis Bacon — all crafted from the finest Cocoa Grand Crus, as always.
More traditional in its approach, the Easter Bunny here takes on the guise of a celebrated master painter! Leonard Lapinci (200g, €29) is available, like all his counterparts, in Grand Cru Tanzanian dark chocolate 68% or milk chocolate 38% varieties, filled with chocolate pralines in both dark and milk chocolate.
We continue with Jean de la Souris and his large ears (32€, 160g), perched atop a praline-filled base flavored with toasted vanilla. Inside, you'll find a mix of snack bites and dry treats. Meanwhile, Vincent Van Bœuf (46€, 325g), much larger and decorated with horns, features a base filled with the signature "Ker Edwart" praline topped with Breton crunchy feuilletine.
Named Francis Bacon (49€, 320g) because it’s a pig—obviously—this piece sits on a sesame praline base, offering a subtly roasted flavor. After getting acquainted with these whimsical animals, our attention is caught by the impressive Coquetier (54€, 390g), with its charming, dreamy ladybugs and elaborate presentation. Inside, two eggs hide: one filled with a delicious Yakimeshi praline (Japanese-style toasted rice) and the other with a crunchy mix of crispy bits.
Staying in the egg family, Edwart Chocolatier has crafted a visually striking Oeuf à la Coque, where the yolk peeks through the chocolate shell, spilling out in decadent, tempting streams. Available in several varieties, giving you plenty of choices! The Grain Noir (24€, 190g) combines almonds and organic toasted buckwheat (kasha) inside a dark chocolate shell, finished with a touch of sea salt.
In milk chocolate, there's the Praliné Maïs (29€), blending hazelnut sweetness with crunchy popped corn, or the Pistache (31€). Note that all these delicate pieces are too fragile for anything but courier delivery across Île-de-France, which involves extra fees if you're not picking them up at the shop. Be especially careful during transit, as a metro ride could turn these edible artworks into a chocolate puzzle.
If you're outside Greater Paris and want to treat yourself to Edwart’s chocolates for Easter, opt for the "Oeuf à Plat" Box (21€, 70g). Enrobed in 65% Grand Cru Nicaraguan dark chocolate, it contains a praline with black sesame, accompanied by milk croustibilles. Alternatively, it’s surrounded by dark chocolate croustibilles filled with hazelnut praline and covered in 38% Costa Rican Grand Cru milk chocolate.
Some of the flavors are suited to the adventurous palate—kids might enjoy discovering new tastes, although they’re far from the ultra-sweet milk chocolates found in supermarkets.
