Following Westfield Carré Sénart, Val d’Europe, and Belle Épine, Essonne also wants its own marquee spot — a place to wander as much as to shop. From May 21, 2026, Valvert Croix Blanche will open its doors in Le Plessis-Pâté, at the heart of the famed Croix Blanche commercial district, well known to residents of southern Île-de-France.
Located at 8 Rue Marie Laurencin, this new XXL complex aims to go beyond a simple shopping trip. Driven by the Compagnie de Phalsbourg, the project bets on a more open and greener experience, conceived as a next-generation retail park. Here, the shopping boulevards intersect with a landscaped park of over 4.7 hectares featuring a lake, lawns, woods, a fitness trail, playful spaces and even an outdoor museum. All on a 158,000 m² site that includes 65,000 m² of retail space and 3,717 parking spaces.
In terms of architecture, Valvert Croix Blanche was designed in collaboration with Antonio Virga Architecte and AAVP – Vincent Parreira. Philippe Starck also contributed to the project, particularly shaping the walking experience and the routes’ scenography.
Fashion, beauty, home, sports, accessories, services… This new shopping center brings together the big-name brands of the moment in a setting designed to keep visitors browsing longer. Stores are open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays until 7 p.m.
The restauration offer also underpins this day-out mindset, even extending into the evening, with restaurants open until midnight on weekdays and 11 p.m. on Sundays.
The complex also leans into leisure with Boulder Factory, La Forêt des Dinosaures and On Air. Rock climbing, a gym and an immersive universe for kids complete this new hybrid venue, designed to turn a simple shopping session into a true outing.
