Paris Design Week aims to blur the lines between object, architecture, and experience. For a few days, the capital becomes a live field study where designers test their ideas directly in public spaces, in the contact of light, motion, and passersby. The route invites you to discover creations that don’t just occupy a space, but transform how we perceive it. A very tangible way to see design in action, from September 10 to 19, 2026.

At the Jardin du Palais-Royal, Wu Bin, founder of the studio W.DESIGN, makes time his material with The Pavilion of Time, on view from September 9 to 20, 2026. The Chinese designer envisions a circular, miniature architecture in polished stainless steel with a translucent membrane, its delicate silhouette reminiscent of Xuan paper. The reflections of the sky, the garden, and passersby gradually blur the structure’s edges, while light passes through the membrane and redefines the pavilion as the day unfolds. In the end, the installation operates like a large-scale sundial, where time is read not by a hand but by shadows, reflections, and shifting light.
At the Palais-Royal, time is revealed by the light.
