There are discoveries you stumble upon during a stroll, and others you’ve already checked off before you even lace up your sneakers. Paris Design Week returns with a packed lineup across the capital, shining a spotlight on contemporary design in all its forms. From September 10 to 19, 2026, installations, site-specific works, and projects conceived especially for particular venues will pace the itinerary. It’s obviously hard to predict in advance which will hit the mark, but early announcements already flag a few events that have caught our eye.
So here are the installations we’ve spotted and are particularly looking forward to for this edition. An intriguing concept, a dialogue announced with a Parisian monument, garden, or square, a material worked in an unusual way, or simply an idea that makes you want to see more: each has caught our attention for a different reason. No one is handing out points before the show. We’d rather keep the surprise and wait to see them in person, from every angle, to judge whether the promise holds up. While we count down to kickoff, here are the ones we’ve already got in our crosshairs.
