This stunning Paris Design Week 2026 installation, housed in a Marais townhouse, is drawing to a close.

Harry Nuriev's installation is entering its final days at the Museum of Hunting and Nature: this open-air still life reworks dozens of everyday objects and runs until September 20, 2026.

For ten days, Paris Design Week brings design to every corner where it can surprise. From September 10 to 19, 2026, nearly 500 participants will occupy 320 venues, spanning galleries, museums, studios, and heritage sites. Furniture drops out of the showroom, materials scale up or down, crafts rub shoulders with architecture, and installations breathe new life into spaces that are already well established. A parcours the largely free path, under the theme Pulse in Motion, giving Parisian design a real shot of momentum.

At the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Harry Nuriev makes the ordinary his material. From September 10 to 20, 2026, the designer takes over the courtyard of the Hôtel de Guénégaud, a 17th‑century private townhouse, with a new, free installation where dozens of everyday objects are laid out on the floor in a regular grid. A vast open-air still life that disrupts the courtyard’s classical architecture and echoes the museum’s cabinet of curiosities. Central to the project is this contrast between past and present: objects, stripped of their original function, still bear the marks of use while taking on a new meaning in contact with the historic setting. It’s a reminder that a simple shift in context can be enough to change the way we view our surroundings.

This approach, notably shaped by the work of Marcel Duchamp, one of Harry Nuriev’s major artistic references, aligns with his concept of "Transformism": rather than producing new objects from scratch, the designer transforms and reinterprets existing items, spaces, and symbols. Founder of Crosby Studios in 2014 and named Designer of the Year by Maison&Objet, the artist divides his time between Paris and New York, straddling design, art, architecture and immersive installations. His projects relentlessly explore the ties between material culture, memory and contemporary life, repositioning familiar objects in unexpected contexts.
