For this guide, we’re skipping the gates and heading straight for Paris’s gardens and courtyards of the city. Behind the façades of private mansions, and of museums and institutions, the cobblestones and flowerbeds host contemporary works that make full use of the surroundings. Vegetation, light and architecture sometimes become part of the installation, while some pieces simply change how the space is used, at least for the duration of a visit.
