The World Festival in Paris 2022, the good cultural plan

What if we were to dive into the daily life of Le Monde newspaper? From September 16 to 18, 2022, the journalists of the famous newspaper will welcome us with open arms in their building in the 13th arrondissement for the 8th edition of the Le Monde festival, which promises to be even more open and accessible.

For 3 days, they have concocted a delightful program with debates, meetings and workshops, shows and exhibitions, thematic tours and visits of the newspaper, animations and performances open to all on the square arranged for the occasion...

Indeed, on this occasion, the square of the building reveals a unique scenography. The Studio Collectif 5.5, (in partnership with the eco-organization Valdelia) has imagined a unique scenography, which tells the newspaper and its history. All the furniture created for the festival was made from recycled materials and waste recovered from the printing plant of Le Monde newspaper, from the large central table made from aluminum printing plates to the stools, made from mandrels (the cardboard cylinders that support the newsprint) and cellulose wadding. It's a festive place to talk with journalists and speakers, have a glass of wine, snack and participate in activities and demonstrations.
