Ready for a new edition of the Run For Planet? This eco-friendly and charitable race is making its return on Sunday, June 14, 2026, near Paris, at the Draveil Leisure Island. The goal: raise awareness among the French about ecological, ethical, and social issues by collecting donations for organizations working daily to protect our beautiful Earth.
Run For Planet offers two race options: a 5km non-competitive route that can be run or walked, and a 10km timed race. There’s also a special race for the little ones! The event is open to everyone because the future of our planet affects us all. Proceeds from the race will be donated to a participant’s chosen organization, including the League for the Protection of Birds, L214, Sea Shepherd, Doctors of the World, and Planet Urgence.
But what exactly is a "eco-designed" race? Unlike typical major sporting events that often promote a wide range of merchandise, Run For Planet aims to go above and beyond. At the finish line, there are no "finisher" jerseys or plastic bottles—instead, participants receive eco-friendly cups made entirely in France or are encouraged to bring their own reusable bottles. Additionally, the race bibs are collected after the event to be recycled and reused, highlighting the event’s commitment to sustainability.
Forget heavy metal medals! Every participant will receive a medal made from beech wood sourced from France, harvested from sustainably managed forests. Along the race route, refreshment stations will exclusively serve seasonal products, with any surplus redistributed to local charities.
An eco-friendly village has been set up on the Port aux Cerises leisure island, the starting point of the race. The organizers' goal is to create a space that hosts activities focused on ecology and community engagement.
In addition to the presence of various organizations showcasing their causes, the event features interactive workshops, group warm-up sessions and stretching, lively musical performances, and a panel discussion on ecological transition. Don’t miss the current photo exhibition by wildlife photographer Nicolas Davy, highlighting the beauty of nature in Paris and its surroundings...
