For more than 25 years, the Battle Pro has been the stage for the world's top breakers. This international event keeps the sport—which first surged onto the Olympic scene at Paris 2024—alive beyond the screens. Held at the Théâtre du Châtelet to mark its anniversary, the competition will play out as battles in three categories: Crew vs Crew (mixed), 2 versus 2 B-Girl & B-Boy, and 1 versus 1 Kid, with dancers from dozens of countries.
More than a hundred professional dancers will clash for the title, among the world's best, as a world-renowned jury weighs in. International DJs will take the stage to elevate the atmosphere to peak levels, while shows will run in parallel with the battles to show spectators the full beauty of breaking.
Breaking, or breakdance, is an American practice that originated in the New York scene. Popularized in the 1980s, the sport originated in hip-hop and has influenced many contemporary dancers. This international competition also aims to promote the discipline, which combines artistic and sporting performance. In France, over a million people practice breaking.
