Alternating between pull-ups, push-ups and other gymnastic, callisthenic or strength-building exercises in the open air, street workout enthusiasts are becoming increasingly hooked on the discipline. And with good reason: in addition to being complete, it combines strength figures with flexibility exercises, while mobilizing the athlete's balance and agility.
Born in the working-class neighborhoods of New York in the 2000s, the street workout movement quickly spread around the world. Accessible to all, street workout is free, as the discipline is practiced outdoors, most often in parks, gardens, squares... Or in dedicated areas such as those found in some Paris arrondissements.
In Paris's 12th arrondissement , there are several places to practice street workout, notably in the Parc de Bercy - on the bus station side - where many athletes train non-stop.
