Based on rue des Tournelles in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, Naya positions itself as a holistic sanctuary—a place where time stands still to care for oneself deeply.

Since 2019, Naya has opened its doors to both amateur and more seasoned yogis, with an offering centered on well-being and classes taught in the yoga tradition. Designed as a space for exchange and sharing, it offers several yoga disciplines each week: the Ashtanga, the Vinyasa, the inversions and flows, the women's yoga... with more technical sessions to work on foundations, alignments or balances.

"The spirit of yoga is to erase individuality," explains Rachid, the founder of Naya, "to be in the present moment and to savor the quality of your moment." After a career as a karate instructor for more than 25 years, he trained with Gérard Arnaud before founding Naya in 2019: a family story that embodies his vision of a holistic space where you can pause to savor a hot drink, enjoy a healthy lunch, all while getting fit with the classes on offer.

A concept that works, with a genuinely family-like atmosphere — everyone knows each other, and even beginners are warmly welcomed — and laid-back; here, you don’t come to prove yourself or to perform, kindness is the watchword. The classes lean toward a 60-minute minimum, more often 75 or 90 minutes, a traditional format, which makes room for a proper warm-up and a full cooldown.

Classes are also accessible to beginners: Rachid and his team favor a welcoming pedagogy and tailor their approach to each person’s physical abilities. For those who wish, every morning from 7 to 9, a teacher runs an Ashtanga session — you’re welcome to join, as long as you know your sequence. Expect €16 for a trial class (offer valid only for your first visit to the studio) and then €18 to €22 when you opt for packs of sessions (5 to 20 classes).

After your yoga session—or simply for the pleasure of stopping by Naya to eat—enjoy the bio and vegan canteen. With a small menu—the tartine or the bowl of the day, vegan pizza on some lunchtimes only, at a flat €16—chefs Samia and Aïcha delight regulars daily with a fresh, seasonal cuisine, indulgent and with generous portions. If you’ve still got room for dessert (or want to take something away for tea), head to the delicious homemade vegan cakes.

The ultra-moist carrot cake with its glaze and crushed hazelnuts, the banana bread with dark chocolate chips, or the panna cotta, the tiramisu and the cookies! Expect €16 for a daily special, €5 for a homemade dessert, with a lunch deal offered every day at €20 (a daily dish plus a dessert).

For a coffee break or a vitamin-packed pick-me-up, Samia et Aïcha also offer detox juices and hot drinks and other lattes. Expect to pay 4–6 € for a detox juice and 2.5–5 € for a hot beverage. A very lovely spot, where you feel good, where you eat well, and where well-being is in the air. A must-visit for yoga lovers or beginners, or simply to treat yourself at the vegan restaurant!
