The Coupe de France is an opportunity to witness a different kind of soccer, as Ligue 1 clubs meet Ligue 2 or National clubs, for matches that are often surprising. It's not uncommon to see"little clubs" take out the big boys in the competition, much to their delight. Against Paris-Saint-Germain, this wasn't exactly the case, with the Parisian club taking out FC Espaly, Le Mans and Stade Briochin. In the semi-final, the Parisians will meet Dunkerque.
On paper, it doesn't look good for the opposition, of course, but you never know, they've come this far. At least they'll be at home, as PSG haven't played much at the Parc des Princes this year in the French Cup. The club, third in Ligue 2, will face the Ligue 1 leaders, still unbeaten in the league, on April 1 or 2, 2025, a match to be followed on France 3 and BeIN Sports or in your Parisian bars.
The winner will meet either Cannes or Reims for the final at the Stade de France on May 24. As a reminder, PSG have won the Coupe de France 15 times since the beginning of their history, holding the title and currently boasting the most victories in the competition. It is also the French club to have won the most domestic cups, with 9 League Cups!
