An update on the day's opponents

AS Monaco's track record makes it one of the most prestigious clubs in French soccer. Founded in 1924, the Monegasque club has seen many ups and downs, with phases of decline, a certain instability and a fine consecration between 2015 and 2017. Unfortunately, its superb Louis-II stadium is often deserted by fans from the Rocher. Kylian Mbappé made his Ligue 1 debut there, before moving to Paris-Saint-Germain.

The club has been French champion 8 times, most recently in 2017, and won the Coupe de France five times, between 1960 and 1991. It also boasts four Champions Trophies and one League Cup.
