The PSG are European champions, and Paris is getting ready to celebrate in style. This Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Champions League title celebration at the Champ-de-Mars will draw between 85,000 and 90,000 people into the 7th arrondissement, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Naturally, such a crowd of supporters will compel the Police Prefecture to revise public transport plans in this area. Before you head out, it’s best to know what to expect on the metro and the bus.
Station closures will occur in two phases. From 12:00, the following stations will shut their doors due to their direct proximity to the festival site:
Then, starting from 4:00 PM, four additional stations will join the list:
Reopenings will be authorized by the Police Prefecture, depending on how the situation evolves on the ground.
Disruptions aren’t limited to the metro. Starting at 5:30 a.m., several bus routes serving the areas where rallies are taking place are likely to be diverted or have their routes curtailed. To know precisely which lines are affected, the RATP updates the bus disruption list in real time on its official site. It’s best to check it as close to your departure time as possible.
Even with closures in place, there are still several ways to reach the site. The easiest option is to head for stations not affected by the restrictions and walk to Champ-de-Mars from those locations:
Whichever option you choose, the Bonjour RATP app remains essential for adjusting your route in real time, as closures can evolve throughout the day. Don’t forget to budget extra time due to the expected crowding across the network.
Paris is currently enduring a heatwave, with temperatures expected to hover around 35°C this Sunday. The site will set up water distribution points, but be sure to bring a sealed water bottle, which is allowed on site. Cans and glass are not permitted.
