On May 2, 2024, the Théâtre du Châtelet will host a friendly breaking battle between France and Korea, during a great evening of dance, where choreography workshops will also be on the program!

Breaking is in the spotlight in this Olympic year, as the discipline enters the Paris 2024 Games program for the first time. For the new cultural season of the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, a groundbreaking event lands at the Théâtre du Châtelet on May 2, 2024. In collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center, two teams of dancers will face off in a friendly battle: the French Pockemon Crew and the Koreans from 1MILLION.

More than a simple dance battle, this evening promises to be a genuine exploration of the wide repertoire of street dance, of which breaking is a part, bringing together different choreographic universes. You'll also discover"Urban Pulse Uprising", an original creation combining multidimensional stage experience, breathtaking challenges and a celebration of bodily expression, in an exceptional dance performance.

In advance, the Korean dance studio, founded in Seoul in 2015, is offering four dance workshops, on Monday April 29 and Friday May 3, 2024, at the Maison de la Corée (Cité universitaire), for 35 euros per person per workshop. Enough to start mastering a few choreographies, and enjoy the show even more!
