This year, the 42nd Bièvre Walk, a scenic route along the 36-kilometer-long river, invites you to enjoy an enchanting hiking adventure through the countryside, scheduled for May 24, 2026. Four different routes are available, catering to all ages—even the little ones from 6 years old—and can be enjoyed during the day or under the stars at night! Covering distances from 10 to 52 kilometers, participants simply need to join one of the start points to wander through scenic paths, parks, and forests with family or friends, embarking on a lively sporty walk.
For the bravest adventurers eager to complete the entire hike, the journey begins right in the heart of Paris, at Place Jussieu, with an initial urban night route along the Coulée Verte of southern Paris. The trail then leads to the Bièvre Valley, the expansive Royal Forest of Versailles with its stunning ponds, and finally arrives at the Château HEC Park in Jouy-en-Josas for a well-earned refreshment.
For the Dawn Walk, participants will start at sunrise in Massy before heading through Igny, Bièvres, Jouy-en-Josas, Les Loges-en-Josas, Buc, Guyancourt, and the ponds of la Minière, followed by a trek through the Versailles Forest to return to Jouy-en-Josas, the finish line. For those seeking a shorter route, there's a perfect 10 km loop departing from Jouy-en-Josas, taking you through the scenic hills, the Metz woods, and the Montéclin estate.
Participants are kindly encouraged to respect nature, refrain from picking plants, stay quiet, and also to carry their own waste with them. Additionally, they should bring a light source for the nighttime walks. La Marche de la Bièvre supports the Petit Cœur de Beurre association, which helps children born with heart defects, particularly through the Château des Côtes Pediatric Center that the route passes through.
Registrations open on March 14, 2026.
