Originally called the "Promenade départementale des vallons de la Bièvre", the circuit was soon dubbed the "Coulée verte du sud parisien". From the Place de la Catalogne, next to the Montparnasse train station, the Coulée Verte du Sud Parisien is one of the most pleasant itineraries south of Paris, with a cycle path that runs along pretty green landscapes and enables you to cycle from Paris to beautiful spots such as the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux (or Parc de Sceaux), theArboretum de la Vallée aux Loups in Chatenay-Malabry....
From Montparnasse, you'll pass through Vanves, Malakoff and Clamart, before branching off onto the most beautiful part of the track: the one linking Clamart to the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux, with trees on all sides. The route is open to pedestrians and cyclists alike, as it is a mixed-use route (except for certain sections which are entirely cycleable). There are numerous picnic and play areas not far from the Parc de Sceaux: take the opportunity to put the bikes down for a picnic in this pretty park and take a tour of the Grand Canal, or discover the fountains and cherry-tree meadow where Hanami is celebrated every year!

Then continue along theVallée aux Loups Arboretum (here too, we recommend a stop in this beautiful area!) and finish at the Massy-Verrières train station. If you don't want to make the return journey, you can use your Navigo pass to get home, by taking the RER B or C. Otherwise, you can take the same route in the opposite direction back to Paris!
