It's a fixture that has become unmissable in the Yvelines: every December, the town of Jouy-en-Josas hosts a nocturnal, quirky and festive race, to enjoy the Christmas activities while letting off steam! So athletes can pull out their calendars: the next edition of the Lucioles du Josas takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
The Lucioles du Josas, a race open to everyone, invites you to discover the town center, the commune’s notable sites, and the surrounding nature. Two routes of 8 and 12 kilometers are on offer for runners, with starts at 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM from the marché de Noël! In a friendly, festive atmosphere, athletes enjoy this race like no other... But there’s no time to linger to admire the Christmas decorations.
Indeed, the first three women and the first three men to cross the finish line on both courses will win some nice rewards. Not the fastest? Bet it all on your costume! The best-dressed runners on the Christmas theme will also receive a small prize... A stylish kick-off to these Christmas festivities.
Dust off your best festive costumes and brace for December’s chill, the climbs and the elevation gain of the race... We’ll meet at the finish line with a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate! Don’t forget to register in advance so you can take part in the 2026 edition of the Lucioles du Josas.
