Experience the Blues' big entrance as if you were on the pitch, but stay rooted in the 11e arrondissement! On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, for France's very first World Cup clash with the Sénégal in the World Cup football, the Atelier des Lumières radically shifts its decor for an evening and morphs into a fully immersive football arena.
Having built a reputation for turning painting masterpieces into immersive experiences, the Atelier des Lumières is set to make the fans buzz with its cutting-edge technology. For this extraordinary evening, the match will be broadcast via a monumental 360° scenography. Thanks to XXL projections stretching from floor to ceiling across the vast walls of the old foundry, the audience will be literally placed at the edge of the action, right up close to France's national team.
To raise the temperature well before kickoff, the doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with interactive activities. Fans of controllers can square off in gaming sessions and on-console competitions, while physical mini-games around football will pace the pre-match for a fun time solo or with friends.
Heads up: this is a one-time, ephemeral special event held for a single evening, and tickets to the Atelier des Lumières that night will be in high demand—sign up as soon as you can to try to join in for free.
Moreover, the Atelier des Lumières is a space originally designed for artistic wandering: the atmosphere there will therefore probably be somewhat more hushed and conceptual than a popular outdoor fan zone or a pumped-up pub.
