Watching a World Cup 2026 match against Notre-Dame, ball in the eye and a drink in hand, that’s a plan that takes you off the bench. Among the fan zones, terraces and screens that light up Paris and the Île-de-France during the tournament, La Nouvelle Seine finds its own playing field. Docked at Port de Montebello, in the 5th arrondissement, this cultural houseboat turns its terrace into an open-air match spot, with the Seine as the sideline.
On this floating fan zone, the vibe is at deck level: you watch the matches from the terrace, around a drink and a shareable plate. The barge broadcasts all the evening matches airing in France, free with consumption, no terrace reservations, available while places last. To nibble between action, the menu features Bella di Cerignola olives at 7€, pita kefta & tzatziki at 14€, plus Catalan fuet, truffled sheep cheese, or homemade sardine rillettes. To accompany the kickoff, soft drinks run 5–7€, a glass of wine about 7€, a prosecco spritz at 11€, Spritz variations at 14€, as well as mules and mocktails at 13€.
Based at the foot of Notre-Dame, La Nouvelle Seine is first and foremost known as a riverside barge where you come for a drink, a meal and to applaud performances—from humor and theater to works for young audiences and cabaret nights. This summer, football slips in between two curtain calls: the stage keeps its showmanship, but the spotlights also swing toward the matches, the plays that get the crowd on their feet, and the friendly post-game chatter over a little extra time.

The capital is not short of places to catch the World Cup, from the LEGO Fan Zone in La Villette to Quai de la Photo, via Ground Control, Communale Saint-Ouen, Boom Boom Villette and several of Paris’s large terraces. But along the quays, La Nouvelle Seine adds its own touch to the scene: a big screen, a barge, Notre-Dame in the background, and that small thrill of living the third half with your feet almost in the water.
