Just finished, the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon has already announced the date for its next edition: Sunday, April 12, 2026! True to tradition, runners will set off from the Champs-Élysées and aim to cover the iconic 42.195 kilometers along the city's most prestigious avenues before crossing the finish line. So, who will take home the victory? Find out next April!
The route of the 2026 Paris Marathon will once again wind through some of the city's most iconic spots, well-known to tourists and Parisians alike. It’s a chance to experience the capital and its landmarks from a fresh perspective, as runners will likely pass by the Place de la Concorde, the Opéra Garnier, the Louvre, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Musée d’Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, and the Grand Palais. And just like during the half-marathon, participants can expect to go through the Place de la Bastille, the Bois de Vincennes, and the Bois de Boulogne!
With over 55,000 finishers in 2025, the Paris Marathon is one of the five biggest in the world in terms of number of participants. Its unique route offers a panoramic view across the capital, which no doubt contributes to its success. See you on April 12, 2026 for another unforgettable sporting and cultural experience in the heart of Paris.
Here’s a more challenging race that’s less accessible to casual runners than the Paris Half-Marathon. It's worth noting that in recent years, children have also been able to take part in their own marathon, the Marathoon's, not to mention the solidarity run the day before! Many professional athletes and challenge enthusiasts will be lining up at the start in early April. So, why not go cheer them on?
