Paris has its grand monuments, but it also has its little secrets. If the future belongs to those who get up early, the capital reveals itself to those who pay attention to detail. So, when you're strolling through the streets of Paris, keep your eyes peeled! You might just come face to face with a Parisian mystery.
When your steps take you to the Latin Quarter, as you rush down Rue des Anglais, you may well find yourself in front of a strange library. Next to this piece of furniture built into a stone wall, a sign explains the concept of this "street library" in a few words: "Take, read, return." It couldn't be clearer, and once your curiosity is satisfied, you can continue on your way.
But the most curious book lovers can uncover another mystery. When you pick up one of the books in this street library (we won't tell you which one), a mechanism is activated and the bookcase reveals itself to be a door leading to a secret passageway. You can only open it slightly to see a dimly lit corridor, at the end of which you can briefly glimpse a door with a metal ornament. This raises even more questions.
Congratulations, you have found the entrance to the Secret Place, a venue that can be privatized, revealing vaulted rooms that are particularly common in the Latin Quarter. An original concept reminiscent of Diagon Alley that adds to the mysteries of Paris!
