Eurovision 2023: here are the 10 countries qualified for the first semi-final

The Eurovision Song Contest will reveal the name of its new winner at the Grand Final scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023. Until then, the musical event, followed by millions of TV viewers, has to choose the finalists of this 67th edition. The first of the two semi-finals took place this May 9th. Discover without further delay the songs of the 10 qualified countries this Tuesday evening.

They were 15. 15 countries to compete this Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in the first semi-final of Eurovision. All of them had only one and the same objective: to try to get their place in the final of the song contest alongside France, Italy, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom. We recall that these countries, which make up the famous Big 5 of Eurovision - with Ukraine in addition this year - are automatically qualified and do not need to go through the dreaded stage of the semi-finals.

If many are looking forward to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled for this Saturday, May 13, 2023, others are therefore eager to know who will be the finalists of this 67th edition of Eurovision.

Also, the first of the two semi-finals was to be followed live this Tuesday evening on France 4 and on the page Youtube of the contest. It put in competition 15 countries, namely Norway, Malta, Serbia, Latvia, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, Moldova, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Finland. At the end of the evening, only 10 countries were selected for the grand final. We discover them!

Israel: Noa Kirel - Unicorn

Moldova: Pasha Parfeni - Soarele şi Luna


Norway: Alessandra - Queen of Kings

Portugal: Mimicat - Ai Coração

Serbia: Luke Black - Samo Mi Se Spava

Sweden: Loreen - Tattoo

Switzerland: Remo Forrer - Watergun

Note that the semi-finals will be held in two phases, with a first selection announced on May 9, and a second scheduled for May 11. At the end of these two semi-finals, we will know the countries selected for the grand final on May 13. 6 countries are already qualified for the final stage.

The second semi-final is scheduled for Thursday, May 11 at 9:00 pm, and will feature 16 countries, including Denmark, Armenia, Romania, Estonia, Belgium, Cyprus, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Georgia, San Marino, Austria, Albania, Lithuania and Australia.
