Unannounced strike and difficult weather conditions are causing considerable disruption to traffic on Transilien lines J and L in the Hauts-de-Seine region and to and from the Saint-Lazare station in Paris, this Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

At the heart of these disruptions was a strike launched by some of the staff, who are demanding improvements in working conditions. This event, coupled with a land subsidence caused by heavy rains, has led to the partial interruption of traffic. This is a real headache for the regular users of the J and L lines, which we discover together.

This Wednesday, May 10, 2023, the surprise is big for users of Transilien lines J and L in the Hauts-de-Seine. An unexpected strike movement and unfavorable weather conditions have created a situation of chaos in transportation.

The situation is even more complicated as traffic is not only disrupted, but also partially interrupted. This is the case between St Cloud and Garches on line L, where a subsidence of the ground, a consequence of the heavy rains and storms of the last few days, has forced the SNCF to put an end to train traffic. To compensate for this problem, shuttles have been made available.

The SNCF advises travelers to limit or postpone their trips as much as possible. This is a difficult situation to manage, especially for those who depend on these lines for their daily commute.

But beware, Thursday May 11 is likely to be just as complicated. The traffic should still be disrupted on the train lines. We are therefore preparing for two days of misery in transport.

This strike and these weather disruptions remind us of the importance of always having a plan B for our travels. In the meantime, stay connected and consult the Transilien website for all your travel needs. Substitution buses are in place, but travel remains complicated. The SNCF apologizes for the inconvenience caused and assures that they have called reserve drivers to run as many trains as possible.
