At a time when France is undergoing a change of government, the main air traffic controllers' union, SNCTA, is postponing its strike notice for September 18, 2025 until early October, in the absence of a negotiating partner.

Since the start of the school year, social movements have been getting organized in France. After September 10, 2025, September 18, 2025 is one of the key dates, with strikes planned at airports. However, as France changes government, the SNCTA(Syndicat National des Contrôleurs du Trafic Aérien) has decided to suspend its strike call and postpone action until October 7, 8 and 9, 2025.

In its press release, the main air traffic controllers' union justifies its decision as follows: "The September 18 date is no longer compatible with the possibility of bringing our demands to a successful conclusion, due to a lack of interlocutors and the necessary time to devote to them". So, although Philippe Tabarotle, the outgoing Minister of Transport, will retain his status until a new government is appointed, the postponement of the action is said to have been decided in the light of the appointment of the future Director General of Civil Aviation, Chems Chkioua,

Travelers preparing to fly in and out of Paris airports should expect disruptions and prepare accordingly. The strike, expected to start in the second week of October, could have an impact on travel plans for those dates.
