The Eiffel Tower is closed to the public today, due to the nationwide strike in France on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Tickets purchased online should be refunded.

Strikes and demonstrations across France are expected this Thursday, October 2, 2025. Following a joint call from trade unions, the French are invited to strike, and to gather in the streets to protest against the policies of Emmanuel Macron and the current government.

This October 2, 2025, numerous disruptions are expected not only in rail and air transport, but also in schools, healthcare centers and the civil service... In Paris, the strike could be felt in places open to the public, such as museums and monuments. Indeed, many art and cultural venues had to delay their opening this morning, or only partially open. Some, like the Eiffel Tower, are completely closed.

The Iron Lady is closing its doors to the public this Thursday. In a message published on its website, the Iron Lady states: " Due to a national strike notice on October 2, the opening and access to the Eiffel Tower may be disrupted. Please consult our website before travelling. Visitors with e-tickets for 02/10 are invited to check their mailboxes. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. While the message refers to "disrupted" access to the monument, the page indicating the Tower's opening times does indeed indicate"closed".

Exceptionally, the Parisian monument is therefore completely closed to the public. Visitors who already had their ticket should be able to exchange it or get a refund, according to the conditions indicated in the e-mail sent by the Tower ticket office.
