This is a ranking that artists and record labels often keep a close eye on. The music platform RIFFX has just revealed its trend report of the 150 favorite Francophone artists among the French in 2025. Not surprisingly, the very reserved Jean-Jacques Goldman has climbed to the top spot for the 8th time! In second place, we find Francis Cabrel. Finally, Florent Pagny (who was in second place last year) secures third position on this 2025 ranking of the 150 most-loved Francophone artists among the French.
Following them in the rankings are the band Indochine (4th), Céline Dion (5th), Belgian artist Stromae (6th), the iconic Mylène Farmer (7th), Soprano (8th), David Guetta (9th), and Julien Doré (10th).
Unfortunately, once again, gender balance is not reflected in the list; only 10 women appear among France’s top 50 most-loved artists, with 33 in the top 100 and 50 in the top 150. Still, newcomers Santa and Zaho de Sagazan are making notable strides this year. Santa moved up from 110th to 92nd place, while Zaho de Sagazan climbed from 106th to 80th.
Preferences also vary by age group, with most artists in the Top 20 among 18- to 24-year-olds hailing from Rap or R’n’B, such as Gims, Damso, Dadju, Ninho, Bigflo & Oli, and Aya Nakamura...
