An eagerly anticipated event for many singers and artists, the annual music awards ceremony has been a highlight of the industry for 41 years. Each winter, the profession recognizes excellence in popular music with prestigious awards.
In 1985, the Victoires de la Musique was inaugurated thanks to the efforts of Claude Fléouter, Denys Limon, Pascale Tardy, along with then-Culture Minister Jack Lang. That first year, Jeanne Mas took home the Best Female Performer award, while Michel Jonasz was honored as Best Male Performer. In subsequent editions, stars like Catherine Lara, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Johnny Hallyday, France Gall, Mylène Farmer, Vanessa Paradis, Patrick Bruel, Alain Bashung, -M-, Renaud, Zazie, Florent Pagny, and Benjamin Biolay among others, have left with a Victoire.
This year, the Victoires de la Musique marks its 41st anniversary! Hosted by Helena Noguerra and Cyril Féraud, the ceremony will be broadcast live on France 2 and France Inter on Friday, February 13, 2026, starting at 9:10 PM.
As in previous years, the evening will feature several live performances by most of the nominated artists. Speaking of nominations, the Victoires de la Musique 2026 embrace diversity, with recognized artists like Vanessa Paradis, Santa, and Orelsan, alongside emerging talents like Pierre Garnier. The suspense is especially high for the new breakthrough artists, with finalists including Theodora, Miki, Helena, Ino Casablanca, L2B, and Sam Sauvage.
