Another Rage Against the Machine split? At least, that's what Brad Wilk is suggesting. In a message posted on his Instagram page on January 3, 2024, the American band's drummer announces that Rage Against The Machine "will no longer be touring".

While many fans were counting on a new Rage Against The Machine comeback, their hopes are shattered by Brad Wilk's recent statements. In a message posted on his Instagram page this January 3, 2024, the band's drummer announced that RATM would no longer be touring.

" I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows. [...] So, even though there have been communications that this may happen in the future... I would like to announce that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will no longer be touring or playing live. I'm sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wishit would," he wrote on Instagram.

Following this announcement, many fans reacted on social networks, as did several bands and artists, including singer Shirley Manson from Garbage, drummer Mario Duplantier from Gojira, Shavo Odadjian from System of a Down and American bassist Josh Paul.

Rage Against The Machine had announced a reunion tour for 2019. Due to the health crisis, the American band had to postpone these dates to finally make their comeback on stage in the USA in summer 2022. But unfortunately, this comeback did not go according to plan. During one of the band's concerts in Chicago, lead singer Zack de la Rocha injured his leg on stage, forcing the band to cancel their European and UK tour, including their concert at Rock en Seine, then scheduled for August 30, 2022. Then, in December 2022, the band's bassist Tim Commerford revealed that he had prostate cancer.

While many fans were hoping for a postponement of the reunion tour and the announcement of new Rage Against The Machine dates in Europe, drummer Brad Wilk gave up hope, leaving fans in deep disarray.
