Celebrating 20 years! And that's just what CocoRosie is planning to do this spring. This American duo, formed in 2003 by the Casady sisters, Bianca and Sierra, has announced an " unplugged " concert in Paris. On Friday March 8, 2024, International Women's Rights Day, CocoRosie will take over theAlhambra venue for an exclusive acoustic set.
The Casady sisters will perform two-part piano versions of tracks from"La Maison de Mon Rêve", their very first opus. Released in 2004, this album showcases the duo's psychedelic folk universe, with tracks such as " Terrible Angels ", " By your Side " and " Good Friday ".
Six other albums followed, including"Noah's Ark" in 2005, the excellent"The Adventures of Ghosthorse & Stillborn" in 2007,"Tales of a GrassWidow" in 2013 and, most recently,"Put the Shine On" in 2020.
On March 8, CocoRosie will also be performing a selection of the rest of her repertoire, accompanied by pianist Gael Rakotondrabe.
