Good news for fans of electronic music! The organizers of the Techno Parade in Paris announce the return of this unmissable festive event in 2026. The free musical celebration, which each year spotlights culture and electronic sounds on the streets of Paris, will be back on Saturday, September 19, after two years away.

Each September, electronic music fans gather in Paris to dance to the rhythms streamed from the floats of the Techno Parade. After a two‑year hiatus, the largest showcase of electronic music is returning to Paris for the 2026 edition, specifically on Saturday, September 19.

That’s what the event organizers announced in a post on social media, after the last two editions were canceled—the 2024 edition due to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the 2025 edition for financial reasons.

"To the future charists, the call is out. Join us and carry high and proud the values of freedom, diversity, and independence that have driven electronic cultures since their origins", the organizers write on Instagram again.

During the most recent edition in 2023, electro music lovers gathered in the capital's streets on September 23 for a historic event. And for good reason, the Techno Parade was celebrating its 25th anniversary. This milestone edition, which drew 400,000 attendees, also marked 25 years of struggle and commitment to preserving the culture of electronic music.

During this anniversary edition, the Techno Parade organizers also took the opportunity to reiterate their numerous demands, including the inclusion of electronic music in France's cultural heritage, fair treatment for those involved in electronic music, and the creation of reception areas for electronic music events and festivals.

Officially launched in France in 1998 by Technopol, the Techno Parade was created with the backing of former Culture Minister Jack Lang, modeled on Berlin's Love Parade, which had debuted less than a decade earlier. Proof of its appeal: in 25 years, the Techno Parade has drawn more than 7 million fans from across France and neighboring countries, all eager to dance to electronic music.

In 2026, the story of the Techno Parade in Paris continues. The event is slated for September 19. Stay tuned to discover the route for this 2026 edition. Remember, at the last edition in 2023, the massive electro parade kicked off from Place de la Bastille and headed to Place de la Nation, passing notably along Boulevard des Filles du Calvaire, Place de la République, and Boulevard Voltaire.
