Among the charitable events organized by the military governor of Paris, the concert stands out as one of the oldest and most iconic. Like every year since it was first held over a decade ago, all proceeds are donated to organizations supporting war veterans and grieving families.
For this year’s edition, the Palais Royal’s period-instrument orchestra will join forces with Orlando Bass (piano) for a remarkable program: Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 4 and Bizet’s Symphony in C, conducted by Jean-Philippe Sarcos. The event celebrates the elegance, charm, and flair of 19th-century French music.
More than just a concert in a magical venue, this event is a heartfelt charity initiative supporting injured soldiers and the families of those who have fallen across the three branches of the armed forces. All ticket sales and donations will be donated in full to the Defense Mutual Aid Committee, which provides assistance to wounded servicemen and grieving families. Donations are tax-deductible at a rate of 66%. A formal tax receipt will be sent via email in the weeks following the concert.
Therefore, no refunds will be issued in the event of the concert being canceled.
