In early February, Black Sabbath fans were in an uproar. Their favorite band announced that it would be reforming for a farewell concert at home, in Birmingham, Great Britain, on July 5, 2025. It didn't take long for the announcement to create a buzz on social networks. In addition to welcoming Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward back to the stage, the event will also feature a host of must-see artists and bands from the metal scene, including Metallica, Gojira, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains and Mastodon, as well as Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins, Duff McKagan and Slash from Guns N'Roses, Tom Morello and Jonathan Davis from Korn, Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit and Tobias Forge from Ghost.
Entitled"Back To The Beginning", the concert promises to be one of the greatest heavy metal shows of all time! However, many questions remain aboutOzzy Osbourne's state of health, weakened by Parkinson's disease and multiple operations. In a recent interview,"The Prince of Darkness", now aged 76, said: " I'm not planning to play a whole concert with Black Sabbath, but I'll do a few songs here and there. I'll do what I can where I feel comfortable.
Despite this, fans flocked to the tickets put on sale on February 14. And to no one's surprise, the show quickly sold out. Now, those who were unable to get tickets for this anthological concert can only hope that this final show will be recorded and broadcast at a later date. For the time being, no information on this subject has been released.
On the other hand, Black Sabbath fans can now watch or re-watch the " Live... Gathered In Their Masses " concert. Recorded in Australia, it is available free of charge in its entirety on Youtube, thanks to the American concert streaming platform Qello.
" Live... Gathered In Their Masses " was recorded during two concerts in Melbourne in 2013. This was Black Sabbath 's last concert in Australia. Coincidentally, it was the first time the British heavy metal band had visited the continent with Ozzy Osbourne in over four decades.
