For younger listeners, we remind you that Duran Duran was formed in 1978 in Great Britain, around Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (bass). With their new wave-influenced pop music, Duran Duran quickly won over many ears in search of a new sound.
In the 80s, the Birmingham-based band released a number of albums, starting with"Duran Duran" in 1981, followed by"Rio" a year later,"Seven and the Ragged Tiger" in 1983,"Notorious" in 1986 and"Big Thing" in 1988.
Today, after a career spanning 47 years, Duran Duran have 16 albums to their credit, the latest of which is entitled"Danse Macabre". Released in 2023, it is a concept album around Halloween, unveiling various collaborations (Nile Rodgers and Victoria De Angelis from Måneskin).
Duran Duran will be back on the road this autumn, following a series of 14 European dates over the summer. In addition to Manchester and Nottingham, the original line-up of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor will also be stopping off in Paris!
